OpenGnsys 1.2.0 has been released

OpenGnsys 1.2.0 (codename "Gazpacho") has been released.

Soleta Networks is the top leading contributor to the OpenGnsys 1.2.0 release, in cooperation with several Spanish public University.

The OpenGnsys 1.2.0 release is major milestone in the development process including major enhancements such as the new OgServer, OgClient and OgCLI components that have been developed and sponsored by Soleta Networks.

Soleta Networks offers the OpenGnsys Enterprise edition which allows you to easily install and maintain your deployments up-to-date through packages for Ubuntu 18.04.

The OpenGnsys 1.2.0 series includes many updates:

  • New OgClient component which replaces OgAdmClient.

  • New OgCLI command line interface as an alternative to the administrative web interface.

  • New communication protocol from OgServer and OgClient.

  • Removal of ogAdmAgent, the task scheduler has been merged into OgServer.

  • Improvements in WakeOnLan support.

  • New OgServer and OgClient configuration file in JSON format.
